It is not uncommon when living in the midwest, to experience spring snowstorms. In fact May 15 is the frost date in our part of Ohio. It’s about 1 year in 5 that the tulip magnolias don’t get frosted or snowed upon. The flowers are really beautiful when the snow first comes down partially occluding some of the petals, and sparkling in the ensuing sunshine.
This collar is the last in a series done with a snow and ice theme. In this piece I was exploring the different special effects of snow through the use of beads with an AB finish, transparent AB beads, color lined beads, matted beads and surface embellishment.
