I love the technique of crazy quilting. What’s not to like/ I get to collage a variety of fabric textures ad colors then play with decorating the seams using yet more color textures with threads, trim and beads.

As a former costumer I’m particularly fond of fabric as well as always being conscious of the focal point. “Don’t let anything steal the focus” was my mantra in school! While most of the classes I’ve taken teach embellishing everything. Hence, I’ve developed my own style. I typically enhance the highlight of the focal fabric to not only make them visually pop, but so that they don’t look flat compared to the decorated seams. No stealing focus!

I’m also continuing my love affair with Hawaii through my CQ by frequently using Hawaiian/tropical themed focal fabrics.
