In the midst of a year of downsizing, packing, loading, moving and then the reverse, I needed a small project to work on that required few decisions. When sorting through my mother’s things, I found this piece of scrap fabric that either my Mom or Dad had practiced block printing on. This was my introduction to “art” so I decided to stitch it and turn it into a pillow. All it needed was for me to select the colors, my favorite part. Though none of the block printing shows, it’s become a family project that brings me joy.
