I am Swedish by heritage, though born in Hawaii, and grew up knowing about Tomtar. Tomtar is the plural of Tomte. Actually this is who really bring your Christmas presents. That Santa/St Nicholas belief is just a myth!

My Swedish cousin and I have corresponded since we were 10. When her children were small she sent a picture of their tree with nothing but Tomtar on it. She always sends Christmas cards usually featuring Tomtar. The card which I used as a reference has been my favorite. It was designed by Titti Gnospelius. Mine is obviously an adaptation. It will feature prominently on the inside door to the studio
