Hatfield House

On a visit to Hatfield House in 2005, I was struck by the vista of the walled garden, the bench and the abundant wisteria. I could envision the soon to be Queen, Elizabeth, sitting here waiting for news of the death of her sister Queen Mary and her ascension to the throne of England.
