Part of the Lake Baikal Series. My husband and I were fortunate to travel to Siberia in the summer of 1995. Lake Baikal is named the ‘Pearl of Siberia’ and is aptly named. The lake is incredibly beautiful with the water clear enough to see down about 40′. This necklace was rendered from a photo of the water and sand in Maximiha Bay where we were camping. The lake was named as one of the Peace Blossom sites by Sri Chinmoy, International Ambassador of Peace. There is an accompanying poem for this necklace. This piece was created for the exhibit “Women Who See With A Wild Eye”.
